[Japan] Shurijo Castle - Okinawa Trip

Welcome to Happy Dream Life. Today, I will talk about Shurijo Castle located in Okinawa.

 

Shurijo Castle

There was a news report that there was a fire in Shurijo Castle at the end of 2019. I was sorry to hear as Shurijo Castle is a symbolic tourist attraction in Okinawa, located in Shuri, the capital of the Ryuku kingdom.

 

 

 

 

In fact, because we are in the same Asian culture, we didn't feel anything unusual or different. It took me three to four hours to get around the entire castle because it was quite large. 

You can pay for the tour inside.

 

 

 

 

It's similar to a castle or palace in Korea, but it feels a little different. The picture above is the front door.

You can come to the back of the castle and go up and enjoy the view, as shown in the picture above.

Summary: People who are interested in world history, especially Okinawa history will like this tourist destination. I don't know how things have changed since the fire, but I recommend you visit here if it has been restored to its original state. But in the same Asian culture, the architecture wasn't particularly different, but it looked normal. Personally, I'd like to give 3 out of five.
