Welcome to Happy Dream Life. Today, I will talk about my visit to Hoover Dam located in state of Nevada.
Hoover Dam
Hoover Dam was built in the 1930s. For those of you who have studied American history, hoover dam would be remembered as part of the New Deal project. During the Great Depression, the U.S. economy was building dams to solve economic problems and solve floods and droughts. It was first called the boulder dam and later changed to the current name hoover dam to commemorate president Hoover. The interesting thing is, if you've traveled or lived in the U.S. for a long time, you know that the land in the U.S. is so big that there's a time lag in the U.S. the hoover dam separates Arizona from Nevada, and there's an hour's time difference. For those who came to Las Vegas, I would recommend that you visit hoover dam if you have time. It takes about an hour by car from Las Vegas.
I'm getting to hoover dam.
Before entering the hoover dam, I don't think it's the U.S. police, but security guards do a brief inspection. It doesn't stop and inspect, but it ends by passing slowly and checking who's inside.
I've arrived at hoover dam.
First, park and slowly look around.
The dam was so huge that I was really overwhelmed by its size.
The weather is so nice.
It's Nevada state time.
Hoover dam takes a quick look around and gets ready to go back to Vegas. You'll be as surprised as I am if you remember that this dam was built in the 1930s before you see it.
I saw a lake on my way back.
It was a magnificent view.
I'll finish my hoover dam trip.

Summary: Hoover dam is a good place to travel in half a day. If you want to look around more carefully, it might take longer. When I first saw hoover dam, I was crushed because of its size, and I was amazed that it was completed in the 1930s. So I think the United States has the world's greatest power. Personally, I'd like to give four out of five.
