Useful Information When Booking a Hotel

I think there will be many people who want to reserve a hotel at a lower price when traveling abroad or on a business trip. In my case, I reserve a hotel in the following way.

You want to reserve the cheapest hotel in a particular star hotel or not in a particular hotel.

The websites I often use when I make hotel reservations on overseas business trips are Priceline and Hotwire.

Priceline

For example, suppose you visit Los Angeles, CA from April 28th to 30th and want to stay at the cheapest hotel during that time.

As shown in the picture above, fill out the travel information and click Search to see below.

Then you have to look at the cheapest hotel first, so when you click Lowest Price, you'll see the cheapest place first, as shown in the picture above. As shown in the picture above, there are not only hotels but also homes like Airbnb, so you can refer to it. If you want to find the cheapest hotel in 5 stars, click 5 Stars on Hotel Star Level and click Lowest Price to show you the cheapest 5 star hotel.

For example, if you want to book at a place with a high review score, you can stay at a place with a high number on orange color.

Priceline introduces several products in hotel booking, including pricebreakers, Express Dales, and Private Rental.

In the case of Pricebreakers, as you can see in the description above, one of the three hotels shown in the picture is randomly selected and booked.

For example, one of the three three-star and 3.5-star hotels will be chosen randomly and will be able to stay at US$58 per night.

Express Dales, for example, is randomly booked into a specific star hotel at a certain amount. For example, in this picture, one of the hotels in Hollywood, 2.5 star will be booked for $54 per night. No matter how random it is, I can guess which hotel it is. In the above case, you can find a hotel with 7 or more reviews and 90 reviews in the Priceline among the 2.5 star hotels located in Hollywood.

As far as I can infer, the above hotel is likely to be chosen.

If you book a hotel with Express Deal, one of these hotels will be selected.

Private Rental is similar to Airbnb.

Personally, my favorite service at Priceline is Name Your Own Price, which used to be available on a website using a computer, but now it's only available on a mobile phone application.

I'm in the Priceline app. Enter the Los Angeles and date, then click Name Your Own Price as shown above.

Then click the area you want to stay in.

Click on the minimum star hotel you want to stay at.

Finally, enter the amount you want to bid for. The important thing is that the amount you enter must be approved by the Priceline before you can stay there. If you bid for US$1 in a five-star hotel, the probability of success is almost zero, right? It takes time, but personally, if you book at a lower price than the market price of a particular hotel from various sites, you can't express your joy.

Hotwire

The next site I'm going to introduce is Hotwire.

Enter the same place and time period and click Find a hotel.

My favorite function is Hot Rate. It's similar to the Express Deals from Priceline. And of course, you want to stay in a cheap place, so click on "Sort by Price." For example, if you're looking for the cheapest hotel in a five-star class, click 5-stars in the hotel class to show you only the five-star hotel and start with the cheapest hotel.

And if you click on it, you can see the screen like the picture above. Recently, Mr. C Hotel was chosen as the customer who used this Hot Rate. It is possible to get the same hotel or another hotel. There are other hotel booking sites such as Agoda, Expedia, etc. If you have time, you can choose after comparing the price on more various hotel booking sites. Please note that there are specialized hotel booking site in each country. For example, when traveling to Japan, the site called Japanican was the cheapest when booking a hotel.
