Before we talk about Fairmont Ambassador Seoul Hotel, let's watch the video first.
These days, there are limited places to go because of Covid 19. More and more people are enjoying vacation at a hotel. Recently, more and more people are going outdoors because of the start of the vaccination, and people feel stable. Especially when Parc.1 opened in Yeouido, people started to gather on weekends. With the opening of The Hyundai Seoul and Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, Yeouido was really crowded on the weekend.
As you can see on the map above, the location of the hotel is near Yeouido Station. It took about 5 to 10 minutes to walk slowly from the subway station.
I arrived at Fairmont Ambassador Seoul. There may be likes and dislikes about the hotel's appearance, but compared to other five-star hotels, there was a strong feeling that the hotel was just like that. Rather, I felt that the Conrad Seoul Hotel, located near Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, was more luxurious.
The drawback was the traffic. It hasn't been long since it opened, and it was the weekend, and The Hyundai Seoul besides the hotel was opened, so the traffic jam was the worst. It would have been faster to walk because the car was so backed up on the way to the left at Yeouido Station by car. If Yeouido continue to be developed, I think they will flock to Yeouido over the weekend from Gangbuk and northern Gyeonggi Province, but I kept thinking how good it would be to increase the lane.
When I enter the lobby, I want to give a high score when I go through a machine that disinfects my hands and whole body and then check in QR. If you don't check from the entrance of the hotel, there is a greater chance that Covid 19 confirmed people will enter and walk around the hotel, but I was relieved to check from the entrance. But that feeling was disappointing as I went to the lobby separately. It seems to be small and there was no unique luxury of 5 stars.
However, I liked this point because the ceiling was high and it was open.

This is the view of Conrad Seoul Hotel from Fairmont Ambassador Seoul. Personally, I think Conrad Seoul Hotel looks cooler.

Summary: It's true that I was disappointed because I had too much expectations because of the 5-star Fairmont brand. Traffic jams and in a way, the lobby was the hotel's first impression, and compared to the five-star and Fairmont brands, the shabby lobby was too short to give a generous score. I thought a lot between 3 and 4 points, but it hasn't been long since it was opened, and the appearance and interior structure can't be changed, but I want to give 4 out of 5 points because there are endless possibilities for development such as service and Han River View.
