[Taiwan] Kaohsiung & Taipei Trip

Hi, welcome to Happy Dream Life. Today, I will share my personal visit to Kaohsiung and Taipei.

 

Kaohsiung

 

I decided to take a taxi to feel Kaohsiung. My first destination was a Kaohsiung Confucius Temple.

I am at the Kaoshiung Confucius Temple. It's really well-built. The temple was originally built in 1684. However, it was damaged during the Japanese colonial period and rebuilt in 1976. 

I looked around carefully.

And I pray.

As Asia has similar culture, the architecture doesn't seem very interesting. There were really no people. After a quick lap, I walked towards lake.

I've arrived at the Zuoying Yuandi Temple. There are so many temples.

It was like a Guan Yu statue. I went inside and prayed again and came out.

We've arrived at Dragon and Tiger Pagodas. Literally, they are named after dragon and tiger. It's a superstition, but you have to enter the mouth of a dragon and come out with the mouth of a tiger. Please keep in mind if you want to visit here.

I've looked around.

It was great to walk around from the Kaohsiung Confucius Temple. If you have any plans for a trip to Kaohsiung, I recommend you to visit here.

I came to Ruifeng Night Market for dinner. The market size wasn't that big. I looked around and ate in a place that looked delicious. It was delicious.

After dinner, I walked and ate bread for dessert. It was delicious. Personally, Ruifeng Night Market was not very good. I was worried about sanitation because it was a little dirty. There were so many people, especially young people.

The next evening I tried a famous Taiwanese restaurant. I'm here at Din Tai Fung. Din Tai Fung is in Korea and in the U.S. so I've been there many times.

Wherever you go, Din Tai Fung has a similar taste.

We looked around Kaohsiung and now we're heading to Taipei. I took the Taiwan HSR. It's called the Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) and it's like Korea's KTX. It took about two hours to get to Taipei. Kaohsiung was a quiet city to me. It's a good place to visit once, but it wasn't a city with a lot of things to see while staying.

I'm sure those of you who are preparing to travel to Taipei have heard "YeShiJinJi" a lot. It's an acronym.

Ye: Yeliou
Shi: Shifen Railway Station 
Jin: Jinguashih
Ji: Jioufen

It is said that. I went to Yeliou, Shifen, and Jioufen. I personally didn't go to Jinguashih because I thought it wouldn't be fun.

Shall we go to the Jioufen first? I said that it would be nice to go there in the evening, but I went during the day. I went to travel destinations by taxi.

Unlike the Ruifeng Night Market in Kaohsiung, the Jioufen was slightly cleaner and more crowded. There was a variety of food, and it smelled really bad, especially when I passed by.

I looked around a lot.

And then you go up the stairs...

It was really nice to have this view.

Then we came to our destination, Shifen Railway Station.

She wrote down something in Korean. She came all the way here and made a wish. I hope she won the lottery as she wished. 

Windlights that hold everyone's hopes fly away.

Taiwan seems to have many delicious desserts. Personally, I like mango, so I ate mango ice cream, and it was really delicious.

I finished my last trip to Taipei, Shifen fall.

On the way to the airport, there was Grand Hotel Taipei, so I took it. It's a five-star hotel.

Summary: If I have to go to Taiwan, but I have to go to either Kaohsiung or Taipei, I would recommend going to Taipei without hesitation. It depends on your personality, but Taipei was more of a city, and more things to see and do. There was more food than Kaohsiung. Personally, I would like to give 3 out of 5 points for both cities.
