[USA] Pearl Harbor National Memorial & Dole Plantation - Hawaii Trip

Hi, Happy Dream Life here. Today, I will share my visit to Pearl Harbor National Memorial and Dole Plantation in Hawaii.

 

Pearl Harbor National Memorial

I went to Pearl Harbor which is also famous in Korea for its movie. The U.S. joined the World War II, as many of you know, because of Japan's air strikes on the United States' Pearl Harbor. Why don't we go see Pearl Harbor together?

You can see missiles.

The weather is so nice. The weather has been so nice throughout my stay.

It's a statue, but I don't know who it is.

                                 

 That was great. I recommend that you visit here if you have time. If you've booked a hotel near Waikiki beach, it may take about an hour by car. I went in the middle of the morning, but it took some time to park because it was a tourist spot. Still, Pearl Harbor was so famous that I was satisfied and looked around well.

 

Dole Plantation

After Pearl Harbor tour, I headed to Dole Plantation. It takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes by car from Waikiki beach. Dole Plantation is the place where James Drummond Dole built the first pineapple farm and the history of Dole Company, which is famous for its fruit worldwide, began.

If you head to the Dole plantation, you'll see a large farm like this way.

It's a cacao fruit. It's amazing that chocolate is made from that fruit.

The description says the fruit used to make Waialua Estate Chocolate.

There are so many cacao beans, and I wonder how many cacao beans I can make from them are harvested in months.

This is pineapple. For the first time, I knew that pineapples came from the ground. I don't know why, until I visited the Dole plant, but I thought it was a fruit from a tree.

There's also a red pineapple. The color looks not ripe yet.

You can see the colored pineapple you can see in the regular supermarket. But the size is small, so I don't think it's time for the harvest yet. The little one is really cute.

There is also a little train that children will like. Inside Dole plantation, you can buy souvenirs and Dole products. Since it's a pineapple farm, I ate a lot of pineapple dishes. I ordered meat, pineapple ice cream and other food, but it was ok. You can say that food is enough to satisfy with your hunger. The Dole plantation would be good for families with children to visit. When I visited, there were a lot of family tourists, and it would be nice to see how pineapples are formed for children.

We look around the two tourist attractions and go back to the Waikiki Beach accommodation. This concludes today's review of Pearl Harbor and Dole Plantation.

Summary: It was really good. Personally, I would recommend Pearl Harbor and Dole Plantation to young children and travelers who visit Hawaii as a family unit. I personally want to give 5 out of 5 points.
