Hello, this is Happy Dream Life. Personally, I really enjoy having a drink while eating. I often find myself drinking during lunchtime, and sometimes I wonder if I'm a bit too fond of alcohol. However, I like to pair a good meal with a drink, especially when I've worked hard—it makes me feel good. And, of course, there's nothing like sharing delicious food and drinks with great company to lift your spirits.
There are many types of alcohol, but my personal favorites are beer, cocktails, sake, and makgeolli. Many Koreans love the classic pairing of samgyeopsal and soju, but I’m not a fan of soju due to its strong smell. I don't buy it, and I won’t drink it even if someone offers it to me.
Starting today, I’ll be reviewing drinks—ones that are quite expensive. For today’s first review, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on Dassai Beyond 720ML.
Dassai Beyond
Many people think of Dassai when they think of sake, as it is one of the most popular sake brands. Dassai offers a variety of sake, and its products are named with numbers, similar to how BMW names its cars. In Korea, Dassai 23 is the most well-known and is famous for its sweet taste.
Sake is made by polishing rice, and the number in the name refers to the percentage of the rice grain that remains after polishing. For example, Dassai 23 means that only 23% of the rice grain’s core is left, with the rest removed.

- Dassai 39
- Dassai 23
And there's the highly anticipated Dassai Beyond.
A key characteristic of Dassai sake is that the lower the number, the more expensive the bottle tends to be.
Dassai Beyond Review
The wrapping paper is hard and luxurious.
It was a truly delicious drink—smooth, sweet, and easy to swallow. Since it’s sake from Japan, I paired it with sashimi and sushi, and the combination was fantastic. It was so good that I would highly recommend it to anyone who can afford it.
Summary: Personally, I love sushi and sashimi. I enjoy pairing them with Japanese beer or Dassai Beyond sake. Among sakes, Dassai Beyond is one I highly recommend to my friends because of its sweetness and smoothness. I’m so satisfied with it that I’d rate it 5 out of 5.
