[USA] Biltmore - Asheville, NC Trip

Hello, Happy Dream Life here. Today, I will talk about my visit to Biltmore located near Asheville, NC.

 

Biltmore

 

North Carolina or Ashville may be unfamiliar to Koreans. As you can see from the map below, it is not near a big city that Koreans know well, and it is not a city where Koreans travel often or where many Korean-Americans live. Ashville is famous for its mountain retreat.

I always feel this when I look at the map of the United States, but I think the United States is really big.

There's a must-visit place in Ashville, North Carolina. This is Biltmore. It's only about ten minutes drive from Ashville. This is a place where countless American tourists visit as a historic monument in the United States. It's amazing that this big house was privately owned and now belongs to its descendants. If I hadn't had the background information when I first visited this place, I would have simply thought that the European royal family lived in this house. But when I found out that it was built for the summer vacation of George Washington Vanderbilt II of the Vanderbilt family, I couldn't help but keep my mouth open on the scale of the wealth.

I wish that I could capture the size of this mansion in one picture.

Happy Dream Life Recommended Travel Period: Biltmore One day

Summary: If you ever want to go to Ashville, I recommend you to visit the Biltmore mansion. You can actually feel what America's wealth is. However, there is no place to go in Ashville personally other than the Biltmore mansion, so I personally would like to give three out of five.
