[Trip to Geoje, Korea] Must Visit Places

Hello, Happy Dream Life is here. When foreigners visit South Korea, they consider Seoul, Pusan, or Jeju Island most of times. However, there are other places that are worth to visit. Once of places would be Geoje, Korea. So, today I will introduce you Happy Dream Life's choice of places that are worth to visit in Geoje-Do.

 

Geoje-Do. If there is "Do" after the name of the place, it means it is island. However, you can now drive to Geoje-Do as it is linked by the bridge. 

 

If you are staying in or near Seoul while traveling to South Korea, and if you would like to visit Geoje-Do, you will go to Geoje Island by a plane, a car, or KTX, but if you go there by plane, you will enter Geoje Island from Gimhae International Airport or Sacheon Airport. But since there are not that many schedule from Gimpo Airport to Sacheon Airport, I personally prefer to go there from Gimpo Airport to Gimhae International Airport.

 

 

 

 

Must Visit Places

 

1. Haegeumgang Cruise Ship

If you come to Geoje Island, I strongly recommend you to take the Haegeumgang cruise ship. Personally, I was really satisfied, but there are several courses, and if you have seasickness or want to taste Geoje simply, I recommend a 50-minute course.

The 50-minute course runs on Haegeumgang Dock -> Haegeumgang -> Woojebong -> Sinseondae -> Dapodo Island.

2. Oedo Botania + Haegeumgang

 

Address:  Oedo Marine Farm, 17, Oedo-gil, Ilun-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do

If you want to feel something differnt during your trip to Korea or Geoje Island, I recommend Oedo Botania. Oedo Island is an island, so you have to go in by boat, and there are several small ports that can go to Oedo, so you should look at the location of your accommodation and go to a comfortable place. I usually go to Oedo + Haegeumgang route by boat from Jangseungpo dock.

My impression could not stop while visiting to the Oedo Botania. However, I was disappointed because the noodles at a cafe were swollen and the taste was not good.

 

Summary: It was so nice. It was an experience that I really want to recommend to those who are considering traveling to Geoje Island. I'd like to give 5 out of 5 because it's so good.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Hill of Wind

 

Address:  Mount Galgot-ri, Nambu-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do, 14-47

 

If you are reluctant to take a boat because of seasickness, then I would highly recommend this place to those who want to enjoy the scenery in Geoje Island. Personally, I thought this place was a little similar to Cape Chinen Park in Okinawa, Japan. I recommend you to wear comfortable sneakers because you have to walk a little. Also, I could see why the name was Hill of Wind as the wind was really strong.
